Lug-a-Mug Campaign

Paper cups represent a huge problem with consumption on campus: Cups are not made with post-consumer material, and are not themselves recyclable. In order to reduce this massive source of waste R4 encourages all campus members to bring reusable mugs to school to reduce the waste created by disposable paper cups on campus. As an incentive to use reusable mugs, Concordia food service outlets offer a 10-cent discount on all coffee or tea, Java U (on the mezz) offers a 10% discount on all hot beverages for mug carriers.

R4 has created the R4 Mug, and affordable and eco-friendly option for students that need a travel mug. The mugs are made locally, in Quebec, from 100% post-consumer material, and are recyclabe. Muga are available at the Concordia Bookstores (LB 018 and CJ 1423) and Concordia Community Solidarity Co-op Bookstore (2150 Bishop).
